There are no elephants for the same reason I don’t post manatees and aardvarks. The ungulates featured on this blog are from Perissodactyla and Artiodactyla, the odd and even-toed hoofed mammals. And elephants, while originally in the broad Ungulata order, have since been split off into their own order, Proboscidea.
